RESOLUTION NO. 7452 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPOINTING KIRSTEN LAFEAN TO THE <br />POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the hiring of a Police Officer for a <br />current vacancy in the Police Department, and the Police Civil Service Commission has <br />approved the procedures for establishing an eligibility register to fill this vacancy, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written <br />examination, resume scoring, oral interviews, background investigations, physical <br />examination, psychological examination, and physical agility testing, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the <br />opening, and Kirsten Lafean is the top candidate standing on the eligibility register, and <br />her background investigation, physical, psychological, and physical agility testing have <br />all been successfully completed, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department have met with Ms. Lafean, and the <br />Chief of Police recommends she be appointed to the position of Police Officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby appoint Kirsten Lafean to the position of Police Officer effective June 1, <br />2009 at the step one rate of pay as stipulated in the Law Enforcement Labor Services <br />contract for the position. <br /> <br /> <br /> Adopted this 26thth day of May 2009. <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> _______________________________ <br /> James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL)
