RESOLUTION NO. 7534 <br /> <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> Adopting the 2010 Property Tax Levy <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed <br />copies of the proposed 2010 Budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation <br />council meeting on December 7, 2009 to take comment on the proposed 2010 tax levy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, General Obligation Improvement Bonds of 2004 were issued and require a debt service <br />levy of $189,558 to be collected in 2010; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 1997 were issued, the debt service was <br />scheduled to be $76,925, however, due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating <br />cities, Mounds View’s actual 2010 cost on said bonds will be $60,362; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 2005 were issued, the debt service was <br />scheduled to be $98,148, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating <br />cities, Mounds View’s actual 2010 cost on said bonds will be $94,244. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the <br />following property tax levy for 2010 is hereby approved: <br /> <br />General Fund base levy $ 3,212,525 <br />Fire Bonds of 1997 levy 60,362 <br />Fire Bonds of 2005 levy 94,244 <br />PERA rate increase levy 34,704 <br />Police Referendum market value levy 208,000 <br /> <br />Total General Fund 2010 property tax levy $ 3,609,835 <br /> <br /> G.O. Improvement Bonds of 2004 debt service levy $ 189,558 <br /> <br /> Street Improvement Capital Projects Fund $ 300,000 <br /> <br /> Total Property Tax Levy 2010 $ 4,099,393 <br /> <br />and the City Clerk-Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of <br />Minnesota of said 2010 property tax levy. <br /> <br />Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 14th day of December, <br />2009. <br /> <br /> __________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />__________________________ <br />Jim Ericson, City Clerk-Administrator <br />(SEAL)
