A longer period of eleven <br />years was attempted; however, it was discovered that this period was too long to <br />identify minor problems and correct them before they became major <br />replacements. <br /> <br />Well Number 6 was last rehabilitated in 2001. Based on the seven-year <br />evaluation schedule, it is therefore due for rehabilitation in 2008; as a result, Well <br />Number 6 has been scheduled for rehabilitation in 2008 and the proposed 2008 <br />budget includes funds to finance this project. <br /> <br />On December 10, 2007, the City Council approved Resolution 7199 ordering the <br />Well No. 6 Rehabilitation Project, approving the plans and specifications, and <br />setting a bid date. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />Bid Review - Bids for the Well No. 6 Rehabilitation Project were received at <br />10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at City Hall. A total of three (3) bids <br />were received for this project. The low base bid of $14,115.00 was submitted by <br />Keys Well Drilling Company of Saint Paul, Minnesota. A bid bond for five percent <br />(5%) of the bid amount was included with the bid. The bid has been reviewed <br />and found to be in order. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
