The Mounds View Lions does many things for the Mounds View <br />Community to include Foodshelfs, scholarships, and city festival activities to name a few. <br />Below is a breakdown of their contributions for 2007: <br /> <br />Jan: 01/31/07 Edgewood Middle School $200.00 <br /> <br />Feb: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Mar: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Apr: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />May: 5/01/07 Irondale HS $500.00 <br /> 5/29/07 LCIF – Campaign Sight First $500.00 <br /> <br />Jun: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Jul: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Aug: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Sep: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Oct: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Nov: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br />Dec: No Contributions to the Trade Area <br /> <br /> <br />Community Charities of Minnesota <br /> <br />Community Charities of Minnesota, also holds their charitable gambling on a permanent <br />basis at The Mermaid located at 2200 County Highway 10 in Mounds View. <br />Community Charities of Minnesota is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable corporation. The <br />organization conducts fundraising to include golf tournaments and charitable gambling with <br />the proceeds donated to food shelves, post prom parties and summer education programs for <br />Minnesota Youth to name a few. Their charitable gambling license was approved by the <br />Mounds View City Council on July 23, 2007, and they stared charitable gambling activities in <br />September. Attached is a letter along with their enclosed tax returns. Unfortunately, this <br />organization was not able contribute to the trade area due to a theft in December of 2007. <br />Staff did discuss this with the Mounds View Police Department and the investigation of this <br />theft is ongoing. Community Charities of Minnesota would like to continue to do business in <br />Mounds View, and indicated to Staff their determination and dedication in contributing to the
