RESOLUTION 7241 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE CONTRACTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2008 TREE <br />REMOVAL AND TREE TRIMMING PROGRAMS <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, annually quotes are received to perform tree removal and <br />tree trimming services to be done as part of the Joint Powers Agreement the City <br />of Mounds View has with the City of New Brighton; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these services were budgeted for in 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there were five companies that submitted tree removal <br />quotes for trees with no vehicle access; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low quotes were submitted by JB Tree for the trees up to <br />28.5 inches in diameter, and Minnesota Tree Surgeons for larger trees with a <br />diameter greater than 28.5 inches; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 4 Seasons Tree Care has agreed to renew their contract for <br />2008 with no increase in their unit prices for removal of trees with vehicle access; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 4 Seasons Tree Care has also agreed to renew their contract <br />for 2008 with no increase in their unit prices boulevard and park tree trimming. <br /> <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. That a contract with JB Tree for the removal of trees up to 28.5 <br />inches in diameter with no vehicle access is hereby awarded. <br /> <br />2. That a contract with Minnesota Tree Surgeons for the removal of <br />trees with a diameter greater than 28.5 inches with no vehicle <br />access is hereby awarded. <br /> <br />3. That a contract with 4 Seasons Tree Care for the removal of trees <br />with vehicle access is hereby renewed. <br /> <br />4. That a contract with 4 Seasons Tree Care for tree trimming <br />services is hereby renewed. <br />
