<br />RESOLUTION NO. 7255 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />County of Ramsey <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />ADOPTING A CALENDAR FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2009 BUDGET <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City’s Charter and Code as well as State Statutes set forth various <br />requirements for considering and adopting the City’s budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 7.04 of the City Charter requires the Clerk-Administrator to submit to <br />the City Council a budget calendar to be established by resolution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View <br />that the following budget and long tern financial plan calendar is hereby adopted: <br /> <br /> <br />June 2, 2008 City Council discusses budget priorities at a work session. <br /> <br />July 24, 2008 Summary of General Fund operating budget requests delivered to City <br />Council. <br /> <br />August 4, 2008 City Council reviews General Fund budget at work session. <br /> <br />Sept. 8, 2008 City Council adopts preliminary 2009 property tax levy and sets date for the <br />Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Oct. 6, 2008 City Council reviews other funds and utility rate study at work session. <br /> <br />Nov. 11, 2008 City Council adopts utility rates for 2009. <br /> <br />Dec. 1, 2008 Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Dec. 8, 2008 Continuation Hearing and adoption of 2009 budget and tax levy. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted April 14, 2008. <br /> <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> ___________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, City Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL)
