RESOLUTION 7262 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE CODE <br />VIOLATIONS AT 2318 KNOLL DRIVE, MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA, 55112. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Clifford Wies Jr and Lynne F Wies are the owners of property located at <br />2318 Knoll Drive, zoned R-1, Single Family Residential, legally described as follows: Lot 11 Block 17 Pinewood Terrace Number 5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 11, 2008, staff inspected the property located at 2318 Knoll Drive <br />and observed exterior storage of items in violation of city codes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a summary abatement notice was issued to Mr. Wies dated March 11, 2008, <br />regarding exterior storage and accumulation of old machinery, junk, rusting metal, <br />inoperable/unusable equipment or other debris on the exterior property located at 2318 Knoll <br />Drive, staff requested corrective actions completed to bring the property into compliance with <br />the Nuisance Code by March 21, 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 24, 2008 staff performed a follow up inspection of the property <br />located at 2318 Knoll Dr to verify corrective actions had begun and found that only minimal <br />progress had been made; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 24, 2008 staff learned that Mr. Wies was away from home for the <br />previous week and had recently returned home; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 23, 2008 staff reinspected the property located at 2318 Knoll Dr to <br />verify corrective actions had been completed and found continued violations of the Nuisance <br />Code, photographs of the exterior were obtained at that time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Clifford Wies Jr is responsible for maintaining Nuisance Code violations on <br />the exterior above-said property that include, but are not limited to: <br /> <br />1. Discarded sheet metal and rusting metal <br />2. Old rusted machinery and appliances <br />3. Automotive parts and components <br />4. Debris under pickup truck topper <br />5. Upright cylinders of pressurized gas <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in a letter to the property owner dated April 18, 2008, staff notified Mr. <br />Wies of its intent to appear before the Mounds View City Council on April 28, 2008 to request <br />authorization to abate violations cited in the Summary Abatement order dated March 11, 2008; <br />and <br /> <br />
