<br />Item No: 7.A <br />Meeting Date: April 28, 2008 <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />Administrator Review: _____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Mark Beer, Finance Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Public Hearing to Receive Public Input and Pass Upon <br />Resolution 7264 Adopting a Special Assessment Levy for <br />Abatement of Nuisance Conditions, False Alarm Charges, <br />and Diseased Tree Removal Charges <br /> <br />A public hearing is scheduled for 7:05 P.M. to receive public input regarding the proposed <br />assessment of charges for abatement of nuisance conditions, false alarms, and diseased <br />tree removals. A legal notice of this public hearing was published in the April 16, 2008 <br />edition of the New Brighton-Mounds View Bulletin. Individual notices of the meeting were <br />sent by first class mail to the affected property owners on April 11, 2008. <br /> <br />The property owner may pay the amount due by 4:30 P.M. on Monday, April 28, 2008 in <br />order to avoid the $35.00 administrative fee. The owner may prepay the assessment <br />between April 29, 2008 and May 29, 2008 without paying additional interest. After that, <br />interest at the rate of 5.50% will accrue from April 29, 2008 through the payment date.
