Item No. 07D <br />Type of Business: PH & CB <br />Meeting Date: June 23, 2008 <br />City Administrator Review: ______ City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Assistant City Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 7293, a <br />Resolution Approving an Outdoor Liquor <br />Consumption Endorsement for Moe’s Located at 2400 <br />Highway 10 in Mounds View <br /> <br /> <br />Moe’s, located at 2400 Highway 10, has submitted an application for an Outdoor <br />Liquor Consumption Endorsement. Their current Outdoor Liquor Consumption <br />Endorsement expires on June 30, 2008. In accordance with Ordinance 771, a <br />special endorsement to the holder of a regular on-sale liquor or on-wine license <br />to allow sales and consumption of liquor or wine outdoors when the outside <br />service is immediately adjacent to and contiguous with the licensed premises. <br />This special endorsement will need to be issued by the City Council to the <br />licensee by resolution after a public hearing on the special endorsement is held. <br />Moe’s currently has an On-sale Intoxicating Liquor License on file with the City <br />and the State of Minnesota Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement. Moe’s currently <br />has a deck outside, and the establishment currently serves alcohol on this deck. <br /> <br />This public hearing was also published in the Mounds View/New Brighton Bulletin <br />and notices were sent to residences within a 350 feet radius of the <br />establishment. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends opening the Public Hearing for public comment.
