Resolution 7297, a Resolution to Award a Construction Contract for the 1 <br /> 2008 Street Maintenance Project. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Joe Rhein, consultant engineer from Bonestroo, provided an overview of the 2008 street 4 <br />maintenance project for Council and those in attendance. The low bidder was Allied Blacktop. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Joe explained that Mounds View’s portion was only 17% higher than the estimate, and Spring 7 <br />Lake Park’s was 30% higher, for an average of 22%, and that can be attributed to the increased 8 <br />oil prices. 9 <br /> 10 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7297, a 11 <br />Resolution to Award a Construction Contract for the 2008 Street Maintenance Project 12 <br />Contingent Upon Agreement with Spring Lake Park. 13 <br /> 14 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 15 <br /> 16 <br /> H. Resolution 7298, a Resolution to Approve the Plans and Specifications 17 <br /> and Award a Construction Project for the Pinewood Storm Sewer Repair 18 <br /> Utility Improvement Project. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Joe Rhein reviewed the bids with Council and recommended approval. 21 <br /> 22 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7298, a 23 <br />Resolution to Approve the Plans and Specifications and Award a Construction Project for the 24 <br />Pinewood Storm Sewer Repair Utility Improvement Project. 25 <br /> 26 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> I. Resolution 7299, a Resolution to Consider a Proposal for Preparation of 29 <br /> Local Surface Water Management Plan 30 <br /> 31 <br />Joe Rhein explained that the City is updating its Comprehensive Plan, and one requirement is 32 <br />that an approved Local Surface Water Management Plan be adopted. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Joe Rhein provided a proposal for preparation of the Local Surface Water Management Plan. 35 <br /> 36 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7299, a 37 <br />Resolution to Consider a Proposal for Preparation of Local Surface Water Management Plan. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 40 <br /> 41 <br /> J. First Reading on Ordinance 810, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 8 42 <br /> (Public Improvements and Special Assessments) and Chapter 12 43 <br /> (Miscellaneous and Transitory Provisions) of the Mounds View City 44 <br /> Charter. 45
