Mounds View City Council July 14, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Mr. Winiecki said that he and his neighbor do not want these rain gardens. He then said that 2 <br />Barb Haake does not want storm water into the streams and lakes and so the proposal is to dump 3 <br />it into people’s yards instead. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Mr. Winiecki said that there will be no rain garden in his yard or Harvey’s yard. 6 <br /> 7 <br />6. A Public Hearing to Consider the Second Reading and Adoption of 14 <br />Ordinance 810, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 8 (Public Improvements 15 <br />and Special Assessments), and Chapter 12 (Miscellaneous and Transitory 16 <br />Provisions) of the Mounds View City Charter. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Acting Mayor Stigney opened the public hearing at 7:10 p.m. He also noted that a vote would 19 <br />not be taken as there was not a full Council present. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson reviewed the proposed Ordinance amendment for Council. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Acting Mayor Stigney said that he would like to revise the language to indicate “certification to 24 <br />property taxes” to clarify. 25 <br /> 26 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Continue the Public Hearing to July 28, 2008. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br /> B. Resolution 7285, Approving the Purchase of Playground Equipment and 31 <br /> Soccer Goals 32 <br /> 33 <br />This item was heard after Item D as the person presenting, Mr. Steve Dazenski, was running 34 <br />late. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson provided information on the recommended purchase of playground 37 <br />equipment and soccer goals. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether all of the existing equipment would be removed and 40 <br />installed by the 50th anniversary celebration. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson indicated that the equipment would be removed and installed before 43 <br />the 50th anniversary celebration. 44 <br /> 45
