RESOLUTION 7345 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF NORTHWEST YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES <br />DISCOVER CENTER EXPANSION <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Northwest Youth & Family Services mission is to prepare youth <br />and families for healthy lives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View greatly values the contributions Northwest <br />Youth & Family Services has provided for Mounds View residents for over 30 years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northwest Youth & Family Services of Minnesota is constructing the <br />Discovery Center to provide hands-on, experiential learning and physical activity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northwest Youth & Family Services will utilize the Discovery Center <br />to better meet the needs of its clients; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Discovery Center will be a community resource for youth sports, <br />meetings, festivals, and family celebrations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an estimated 9,000 participants are expected to utilize the Discovery <br />Center annually. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Mounds View supports <br />and endorses the Northwest Youth and Family Services Campaign to create the <br />Discovery Center. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, Clerk Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal)
