All members of the Planning <br /> Commission are in support of this endeavor. Highway 10 poses a <br /> problem for the City of Mounds View in that it dissects the City <br /> in half, making pedestrian transportation very dangerous and/or <br /> restrictive. Since the City of Mounds View is only 4 . 2 square <br /> miles, Highway 10 splits the community and hinders the walking to <br /> schools, parks, retail services, library, churches and other <br /> destinations of services and facilities within the city. <br /> The Comprehensive Plan for the City of Mounds View has also <br /> acknowledged this fact and makes note that endeavors to rectify <br /> this problem are encouraged and supported. <br /> Therefore, the City of Mounds View Planning Commission recommends <br /> this proposal for the funding of a pedestrian bridge over Highway <br /> 10 connecting Long Lake Road walkway. <br /> Here signed the 1994 Planning Commission members this 16th day of <br /> March, 1994. <br /> 1 <br /> 7e7j` <br /> v�G � <br /> I <br /> 7 <br /> / _ <br /> /fine , <br /> -, r <br /> �r <br /> IALI .
