Once <br /> 6 the State grants the easements, the State will reconvey the property <br /> 7 back to the City minus the applicable easements for continued use as <br /> 8 park area. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 The third property involved int he project is under exclusive <br /> 11 control of the City and requires no action by the State in order for <br /> 12 the City to grant easements across it. A portion of this land is <br /> 13 within the boundary of the Mounds View golf course site. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Harrington reported that the MWCC will phase their construction of <br /> 16 the Interceptor project so that the development of the Golf Course <br /> 17 is not adversely affected. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Quick to Adopt Resolution No. 4523 Regarding <br /> 20 Easements for MWCC Blaine Interceptor Project and Authorize the <br /> 21 Mayor and City Administrator to Execute the Appropriate Documents <br /> 22 <br /> 23 VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 24 <br /> 25 B. Consideration of Hiring of Economic Development Coordinator <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Tim Cruikshank, Acting City Administrator, explained that the need <br /> 28 for an Economic Development Coordinator was identified by the City <br /> 29 Council and supported by the community through the Focus 2000 <br /> 30 visioning process. Cruikshank reviewed the process of interviewing <br /> 31 of the candidates for this position. Cruikshank further reported <br /> 32 that Cathy Bennett was the top candidate and with her educational <br /> 33 background and past work experience, Ms. Bennett had met the <br /> 34 requirements of the position and demonstrated the ability to perform <br /> 35 the job duties and responsibilities of the position. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Cruikshank stated that the hiring of Cathy Bennett would be <br /> 38 contingent upon successful completion of a physical examination and <br /> 39 drug test. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4521 Approving <br /> 42 the Hiring of Cathy Bennett for the Position of Economic Development <br /> 43 Coordinator to be Funded Out of Account No. 100-4120-010 <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Cruikshank stated that the start date for this position would <br /> 46 be April 4 , 1994 . Cruikshank gave some background on Cathy Bennett <br /> 47 with regard to her experience and education.. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 50 <br /> 51 Cruikshank reported that there would be a reception for the <br /> 52 Economic Development Coordinator and Housing Intern on <br /> 53 April 4 , 1994 to welcome those individuals to the community. <br /> 54 <br />
