Mounds View City Council September 8, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting Page 9 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson indicated that the Chamber would like two designated parking spots 2 <br />and a sign or two to announce their location. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Mueller said that there is an office building next door that they could move into 5 <br />and she would like to keep them in the Community Center, so a sign or two would be fine with 6 <br />her to maintain the tenant. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council agreed. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson indicated that the Deputy Chief did an excellent job at the Irondale 11 <br />community meeting discussing how to make properties less vulnerable to burglary. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson explained that the City is going to put a plan for storm water 14 <br />ponding for Rice Creek to consider. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson indicated that a six month review is due for him and he would like 17 <br />to get that scheduled. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council set the review for September 22, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Stigney said that there has never been an initial review and what Council 22 <br />wanted to do has not been done, and that means he has not had direction on what Council wanted 23 <br />him to do so this is a review on how he is doing on what he thinks needed to be done. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Regarding the scheduled “Mini retreat” scheduled for September 29th at the new Fire Station in 26 <br />Blaine, Council Member Stigney indicated that he would not go up to Blaine for this type of 27 <br />meeting as that prevents residents from attending. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Mueller said that she would like to have the meeting within Mounds View. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Marty said that he would like to review the goals and see how the Council is progressing 32 <br />on its goals. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council Member Stigney indicated that he would also like to have the meeting broadcast. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he enjoys the give and take conversation between Council and Staff 37 <br />that can happen when the meeting is not broadcast, but that it is a public meeting and open to 38 <br />anyone who would like to attend. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council agreed to hold the meeting on City property with no television and no goal discussion. 41 <br /> 42 <br />C.
