(1988 Code §32.01) <br />401.02: MEMBERSHIP; TERMS; OATH; COMPENSATION: <br />Subd. 1. Membership; Terms: <br />a. Appointed Members: The Planning and Zoning Commission shall <br />consist of not less than seven (7) nor more than nine (9) members <br />from the resident population of Mounds View, other than persons <br />elected to a public body, to be appointed by the Mayor with <br />approval of the City Council, from applications submitted. The <br />appointees shall have three (3) year staggered terms; at least <br />two (2) of these terms, but not more than three (3) terms, shall <br />expire each year on December 31. Based upon the recommendation <br />of the Planning and Zoning ComMis.sian, the Mayor, with approval <br />of the City Council, shall appoint a chairperson. (Ord. 455, <br />2-7-89) <br />b. Designated Members: In addition to the appointed membership, <br />two (2) nonvoting members shall be designated by the City Council <br />to serve as liaison to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The <br />term of the appointments shall ordinarily be for one year; <br />except, that they will terminate with the office from which the <br />nonvoting appointment is derived. (1988 Code §32.02) <br />Subd. 2. Oath and Taking of Office: The appointees shall be duly <br />sworn and take office at the first regular meeting of the <br />Commission in the month of January each year. Both original and <br />successive appointees shall hold their offices until their <br />successors are appointed and qualified. (1988 Code §32.04) <br />
