REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
STAFF REPORT
AGENDA SESSION DATE April 4, 1994
Agenda Section: 13.
Report Number: 9 4-1113WS
Report Date: 3-31-94
DISPOSITION
Item Description: Department Head Quarterly Report — Police
Administrator's Review/Recommendation:
- No comments to supplement this report
- Comments attached.
Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.)
SUMMARY;
* The first two months of 1994 were spent in a cloud of dust.
It was distracting and stressful, but we managed to keep
pace with the day to day activities of the Police
Department. Records storage, evidence room, and property storage
are still in disarray, but in another month we should be set.
* Jack Chambers left the position of Investigator and was
replaced by Tim Brennan. Jack was assigned to the Patrol Division.
* Dave Brick was assigned to the Ramsey Co. Training Committee. Dave
replaced Jerry Johnson who served on that committee for a number of
years and did a great job.
* Two marked squads were ordered early in the year. Delivery
of these vehicles are expected any day now.
* A few of our officers have been practicing basketball with
New Brighton officers in preparation of a charity game to be held
at Irondale on April 15th.
* The following is major crimes reported in the first half of
1994:
Assaults 46 Burglary 8
Robbery 0 Theft 66
Arson 1 CSC 1
Veh.
