Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) SUMMARY; Last May when Ric Minetor left the City, his duties were incorporated into the duties of two existing positions; Planner and Public Works Supervisor. The City also began utilizing a consulting engineer from SEH on some items or activities which were beyond the scope of expertise of existing staff. At that time, the Planner and Public Works Supervisor were not given salary increases commensurate with their expanded duties, but instead'were moved to the next step in their existing compensation program with the assurance that both positions would be re-evaluated in one year. It has been almost a year and time for a re-evaluation of both position responsibilities and compensation structure. Also in need of consideration is the responsibility and compensation structure of Tim Pittman's position. He has been acting as second in command of the Public Works Department since the death of Dick Schmidlin. I have placed this last on the agenda with the idea that Council will be free to discuss this issue without the presence ..=the staff in question.
