RESOLUTION NO. 4552 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE FOR ADDITIONAL CITY HALL IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is nearing the completion of the City Hall Expansion and Remodeling Project; and WHEREAS, there are additional items to be completed that were not included as part of the general contractor's base bid; and WHEREAS, the items are: painting Council Chambers, hallway in entrance of City Hall, community room, kitchen and Police sally port; replacing ceiling tiles in Chambers and main entrance hallway; building minute room in copier room, wall for storage downstairs, and enclosure for electrical panel in downstairs women's restroom; installing 10 door stops and holders with floor strikes; running electricity to shelter in City Hall park; signage for City offices; miscellaneous electrical and telephone work; office furniture and additional Conference Room chairs; landscape work and signage (for exterior) ; and adding concrete sidewalk and patio area (South and West side of new office area near Administration Conference Room) ; and WHEREAS, the funding of these items had been budgeted as part of the City Hall Project, but were not included as part of the work in the general contractor's base bid because of inflated quotes; and WHEREAS, there is $533 ,465 in the City Hall Project Fund and the City Hall improvements to date have cost approximately $460, 000, which leaves approximately $73 , 000 to fund additional City Hall improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council hereby authorize City staff to proceed with the additional City Hall improvements as listed and that these improvements be funded out of the City Hall Building Improvement Fund, No. 697-4121-303 .
