Staff had the Mounds View
Police Department run a list of the calls received within the past year on
the Bel Rae and found that the large majority involved health emergencies,
abandoned vehicles and lockouts.
Following discussion at that meeting, Staff was directed to contact the
property owners who would be directly affected by a ban on parking on
Bronson Drive between .Edgewood and Jackson Drives' . Interested parties
will be in attendance on Monday evening.
Staff has also prepared the attached Ordinance for introduction by the
Council. Please note that the exact areas to be included in the parking
ban and, the applicable hours have been left blank - this will allow the
Council to take into consideration the testimony of the affected parties
prior to taking action on the proposed Ordinance.
1-2
/ / 11
(__ .
Paul Harrington, Co7unity Development Coordinator
RECOMMENDATION:
Waive the reading and formally introduce Ordinance No. 541 prohibiting
parking on a portion of Bronson Drive.
