In response to this accident, a petition <br /> was circulated and signed by over 220 residents requesting that stop signs <br /> be added to this intersection. The City is in receipt of this petition. <br /> The request is that stop signs be placed on westbound and eastbound <br /> Hillview Road at Quincy Street. A co <br /> petitioners is included for your review.Py of a sketch submitted by the <br /> A representative from the Mounds View Police Department and the Public <br /> Works Director will be present to discuss the accident rate at this <br /> intersection (it was reported there was a fatality over Memeorial day <br /> weekend near this same intersection) and some of the other criteria used <br /> by the State to determine if and where street signs should be placed. <br /> Also, several of the petitioners will be in attendance for Mondays <br /> meeting. <br /> In another street sign related matter, at the May 2 Worksession, a letter <br /> from the Silver Lake Woods Homeowners Association was submitted to the <br /> Council requesting that a traffic study be conducted for the intersection <br /> of Lake Court Drive and Mounds View Drive for the purpose of determining <br /> if this could become a four-way stop.
