MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 387-94 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING A SIGN AREA VARIANCE REQUEST BY <br /> MAJOR VIDEO CONCEPTS, INC. FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br /> 2537 HIGHWAY 10, PLANNING CASE NO. 384-94 <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has <br /> reviewed the request of Major Video Concepts, Inc. for a variance <br /> to-allow the placement of 262 square feet of sign area at 2537 <br /> Highway 10 where only 100 square feet is allowed by Municipal <br /> Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the <br /> criteria used to evaluate all variance requests; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has presented a hardship <br /> statement to the Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, the literal interpretation of the provisions <br /> of this code would not deprive the applicant of rights commonly <br /> enjoyed by other properties in the same district under the terms <br /> of this Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, granting the variance would confer special <br /> privileges on the applicant that are not enjoyed by other <br /> property owners in the same district; and <br /> WHEREAS, the variance requested is not the minimum <br /> necessary to alleviate the hardship. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View <br /> Planning Commission denies the variance request of Major Video <br /> Concepts, Inc. for the placement of 262 square feet of sign area <br /> at 2537 Highway 10. <br /> Adopted this 1st day of June, 1994 . <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Chairman <br /> (SEAL) <br /> Community Development Coordinator <br />
