The three <br /> vehicles include a utility cart which is used for going around and <br /> moving greens cups, used by rangers and for various other tasks. This <br /> vehicle has a small box which can be used for small loads and therefore <br /> is a versatile golf course vehicle. This vehicle is the workhorse of <br /> the golf course. <br /> The golf cart is used by the Golf Course Superintendent for inspections <br /> and transportation around the. golf course. It is small and light and <br /> efficient. <br /> A used truck is also requested for use in transportation of golf course <br /> personnel for parts pick-up, delivery of equipment, supplies, etc. This <br /> truck will come in handy at the present moment when grub work is being <br /> done including hauling of materials and transportation of small <br /> equipment. There are no spare trucks available in the Parks or Public <br /> Works Divisions. <br /> Three bids have been received for each vehicle. The bids are as <br /> • follows : <br /> PICKUP TRUCK: <br /> - Pick-up truck, 1991 Chevy with 69 , 245 miles, 5 speed from Saturn <br /> - $5, 342 . <br /> - 1992 Pick-up Ford Ranger truck 28, 000 miles, 4 cylinder - $7990 <br /> at Iten Chev. <br /> - 1992 Ford Ranger truck, 5 speed 48 , 000 miles, 4 cylinder - $8, 490 \ <br /> at Brookdale Ford. <br /> �� •r iii/_moi—/f <br /> Mary S..ar ' on o ---1CIor of Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> To approve the purchase of the low bids for the pickup truck, 1991 Chevy at Saturn for <br /> $5,342; the Cushman utility cart, at $10,620; and the E-Z Go Golf Car for 3,850, to be <br /> funded with golf course fund monies for the purchase of golf course operations <br /> equipment through the Bond Sales. <br />
