has the transition too flat. A considerable amount of time._ ,. was scenttt eoiai^i;; this
greens ano were also aiscussseed. Rohling
Green has been installing a swale between mounds and bunkers and mounds and
greens. In some cases, as discussed the mounds need to roll into the green / bunkers
to create a natural transition. Again, this was discussed in great detail. Paul reiterated
to Dick that the smile drain at the edge of the green needs to be installed per the green
details.
Discussed the pump station location in relationship to the electrical transformer with
Don Fish. Don felt they can make it work but they will do a 90 degree turn where the
irrigation main comes out of the building. Paul to verify with Site Design and Garrett.
Paul discussed the concrete tee line with Randy. The corner shifted east several feet
to get 43 stations at 8.5'. Ebert will line their building up with the east edge of the
practice tee.
Paul, Kurt and Vern with Evergreen discussed the irrigation. The head at the back of
the tee line should be part circle heads except for the two far west heads (nearest no.
9 green). The city will be adding two quick couplers at the parking lot. WGA and Kurt
Johnson will stake locations for installation. Evergreen has added two heads in the
range and one head at no. 9 tee at the direction of WGA / Kurt Johnson.
Directions to Contractor:
1. Paul instructed Rohling Green to check the grade on the right front of no. 3.
Rohling Green to mark elevations on ail stakes including the stakes at the
outside edge of the green. Rohling Green to grade between greens and
bunkers and between bunkers as indicated on the plan (generally a slight
rise between green and bunker) and as discussed on site.
2. Paul directed Rohling Green to reshape the front edge of no. 9 green slightly
to orient the green slightly away from the pond edge. Essentially, it was
agreed the 3' - 4' of the right front edge would be replaced by 3' - 4' added
on the left front edge. This allows the slope between the pond and green to
be less severe per Dick's suggestion. The left front edge of the bunker was
cut back about 5' - 10' per Kurt's suggestion to get a slight swale between
the green and the bunker in order to keep the bunker from washing .
3. In review of the bunkers on no. 1 fairway Paul instructed Veit to stake the
grades around the bunkers to insure grading around the bunkers is per the
bunker detail.
4. Greens no. 1, no. 3 and no. 9 are approved for top mix with the above
modifications.
2 Williams, Gill & Associates, Golf Course Architects
