ORDINANCE NO. 524 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF MOUNDS <br /> VIEW BY AMENDING CHAPTER 40 ENTITLED "ZONING" <br /> The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br /> SECTION I. Chapter 40. 05, Subdivision D, shall be amended by <br /> adding the following: <br /> "Driveway surfaces shall not be less than five (5) feet <br /> from any lot line, except where said driveway provides access to a <br /> public street. With the written permission of the adjacent <br /> property owner, temporary parking surfaces may be within five (5) <br /> feet, but not less than one (1) foot, from any lot line. The <br /> combined width of temporary parking and driveway surfaces shall not <br /> exceed 35 feet. <br /> SECTION II. Chapter 40. 07, Subdivision D (8)k, "SURFACING" , <br /> shall be amended by adding the following: <br /> "All areas, as allowed in Chapter 40. 05 Subdivision D, <br /> to be utilized for parking space and driveways shall be surfaced <br /> with materials suitable to control dust, drainage, and erosion, <br /> meeting the requirements of Chapter 44.05 and shall be installed <br /> within one (1) year following issuance of the building permit. <br /> Except in the case of single and two family dwellings, driveways <br /> and stalls shall be surfaced with a six (6) inch class five base <br /> and two (2) inch bituminous equivalent. Plans for surfacing and <br /> drainage of driveways and stalls for five (5) or more vehicles <br /> shall be submitted to the City Engineer for his review and the <br /> final drainage plan must receive his written approval. Temporary_ <br /> surfacing for off-street residential parking shall consist of brick <br /> or concrete pavers, gravel construction as defined in Chapter 44 . 05 <br /> Subdivision (1) or, asphalt construction as defined in Chapter <br /> 44. 05 Subdivision (3) ; No concrete surfacing shall be allowed for <br /> temporary surfaces. " <br />
