The firms were: <br /> Williams, Gill and Associates - River Falls, Wisconsin <br /> Wyss and Associates - Rapid City, South Dakota <br /> David Kirscht and Associates - Edina Minnesota <br /> The services which were listed in the Request for Proposal <br /> involved: <br /> • <br /> * Preparation of design concept plans <br /> * Preparation of the working drawings and specifications <br /> * Preparing all bid documents and assist in the evaluation <br /> of all bids <br /> * Oversee construction phases <br /> The total fees for the development phases were from $48,500 (Garret Gil, <br /> Williams, Gill and Associates) to $68, 000 (Patrick Wyss) . The fees include <br /> the architectural services (direct cost) , but not indirect costs (mileage, <br /> copying, telephone calls, etc. - this was standard for all of the proposals <br /> submitted) . <br /> In-depth reference checks were conducted on all three architects. Each <br /> architect was allowed 30 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for <br /> questions from the Task Force.. Prior to the interviews, the principals in <br /> the marketing firm the City will be using to conduct the market analysis, <br /> met with the Task Force to discuss possible questions and alert the Task <br /> Force to a variety of selection criteria that. is important in selecting an <br /> architect. John Vallere, Manager of Edina's Braemar Golf Course in Edina, <br /> sat in on the interview process and clarified information given by the <br /> architects during the interviews. <br /> L-__(:/k , <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Saman-ha Orduno, City Administrator <br /> Motion to approve Williams, Gill and Associates, architectural firm and <br /> Garret Gil as principal architect for the proposed Mounds View Golf Course <br /> and authorize the City Administrator to negotiate a Contract for Services. <br />
