REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 9. <br /> IVST <br /> AFF REPORT Report Number: 93-500WS <br /> AGENDA SESSION DATE May 3, 1993 Report Date: 4-29-93 <br /> po <br /> DISPOSITION <br /> Item Description: Discussion Regarding Regulations/Inspection/Code Enforcement of Mobile <br /> Home Parks <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> SUMMARY; <br /> In light of the recent denial by Ramsey County of the application for CDBG <br /> funds by the residents of Towns Edge Mobile Home Park and this week's <br /> article in the Bulletin (attached) , this item is being placed on the agenda <br /> at the request of Councilmember Rickaby and the members of the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> The subject of mobile home regulation, in terms of substandard housing as ._ <br /> well as other substandard homes in the City (red barn house on Ardan Ave. ) , <br /> has recently been discussed by the Planning Commission. It is their concern <br /> that there needs to be an examination of the methods of providing improved <br /> inspections, regulation and code enforcement of mobile home parks and other <br /> identified substandard housing units. <br /> Their request of the Council is that the May Work Session be the starting <br /> point for further discussions with a suggestion for a joint meeting of the <br /> Council and the Commission. <br /> ifillcrdun. , City •dministrator <br /> RECOMMENDATION; <br />
