Mounds View City Council (NED LINAITI1 Page Five. <br /> Regular Meeting April 26, 1993 <br /> Alice Frits stated that the Council is always taking money from Contingecy - <br /> thousands of dollars. Ms. Frits asked why the City needed a franchise fee <br /> if there is a never ending amount in the Contingency Fund. <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, invited Ms. Frits to come to City Hall <br /> and look at the records of the withdrawals of funds from the Contingency <br /> Fund and the dates these withdrawals occurred. <br /> Jerry Koenker, 2317 Hillview Road, asked the location of the proposed golf <br /> course and asked if it would be public or private. <br /> 'Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, responded that it is just north of the <br /> freeway and very close to where the old speedway was previously located and <br /> that it would be a municipal golf course. <br /> Orduno asked Mr. Koenker if he would like to be on the mailing list for <br /> meeting notices of the Golf Course Task Force. Orduno indicated that, after <br /> the meeting, if he were interested he should leave his name and address with <br /> the Recording Secretary. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, read the Consent Agenda. <br /> Mayor Linke asked if there were any items the Council desired removed from <br /> the Consent Agenda. <br /> Orduno asked that Item A. be removed from the Consent Agenda. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Rickaby to adopt the Consent Agenda minus <br /> Item A. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Orduno reviewed Item A, Declare the Puppet Wagon Truck and Drill Truck <br /> as Surplus Equipment and Approval to Dispose of at a Salvage Yard. Orduno <br /> reported that Mike Ulrich, Public Works Supervisor, brought to her attention <br /> that there was a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice, old squad car, that should either <br /> be auctioned off or sold to Woodside Motors. The maximum amount the City <br /> could receive for this car is approximately $2, 000. <br /> Councilmember Rickaby stated that the wording would have to be changed <br /> regarding this item. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Rickaby/Wuori to Declare "Puppet Wagon" truck and <br /> Drill truck and 1990 Chevrolet Caprice as Surplus Equipment and <br /> Approve Disposal at a Salvage Yard of the "Puppet Wagon" truck and <br /> Drill truck and Approve 1990 Chevrolet to be Auctioned or Sold to <br /> Woodside Motors <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />
