The <br /> hiring process is regulated by State Law, Civil Service rules and the <br /> Police Officer Standard and Training Board requirements. <br /> The process includes; written examination, interview, psychological <br /> testing, physical examination, comprehensive personal history, and a <br /> background investigation. After the testing process, the Commission <br /> established an eligibility list and submits to the City Council, the <br /> three highest ranking applicants. <br /> The Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission hereby submits the <br /> following three names of qualified applicants for City Council <br /> consideration: <br /> Thomas M. Baumgart <br /> Patrick J. Hogan <br /> Richard M. Schmitt <br /> After conducting a thorough Civil Service examination, interview and <br /> selection process, it is the opinion of the members of the Civil Service <br /> Commission that candidate Thomas M. Baumgart is the best qualified <br /> candidate for the po 'tion of patrol officer with the City of Mounds <br /> View. __ 1 <br /> 7::= <br /> T' . Ra acher, Police Chief <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Mounds View Civil Service Commission Requests that the City Council Authorize the Hiring of Thomas M. <br /> Baumgart to the Position of Police Officer Starting on or About May 1, 1993. Probationary period will be for one <br /> year. The starting salary and benefits will be per local union agreement. <br />
