Mayor Linke presented the above resolution and a plaque stating <br /> the same to Peemal Shah for his leadership in various organizations <br /> and for being an outstanding student and a model example to his peers. <br /> RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: <br /> There were no resident requests or comments. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> Mayor Linke opened the public hearing at 7 :05 to consider a variance appeal <br /> request for Roger Westphal, 8232 Greenwood Drive. <br /> Paul Harrington, City Planner, reviewed Staff Report No. 92-416C regarding a <br /> variance appeal for Roger Westphal, 8232 Greenwood Drive. Harrington <br /> reported that the Mounds View Planning Commission had reviewed and denied <br /> this request at their November 4, 1992 meeting. The applicant appealed the <br /> denial of this request to the Council per Chapter 40 of the Mounds View <br /> Municipal Code. <br /> Roger Westphal, 8232 Greenwood Drive, stated that he had asked the Building <br /> Inspector for the setback requirement and was told five feet from the <br /> property line. Mr. Westphal and his son poured the concrete slab and, after <br /> the fact, Mrs. Westphal came in for a Building Permit and was told at that <br /> Amitime that the setback would be thirty feet. <br />
