iliounds View City Council Page Three <br />egular Meeting July 26, 1993 <br />Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, commended the City and the City Council for <br />the Festival In The Park. Mr. Frits stated that he was there all day and he <br />heard no disparaging remarks, however, he heard many people say that there <br />should be a Festival again next year. Mr. Frits suggested that the City put <br />together a committee of more than five or six people to start making plans <br />for next year's Festival. The only complaint Mr. Frits had was that there <br />was no ice cream. <br />Phyllis Blanchard stated that the ice cream vendor never showed up. <br />Mayor Linke stated that the planning for next year will start real soon. <br />Councilmember Wuori stated that the planning has already started. <br />Mayor Linke stated that Irondale Marching band will be at the Festival and <br />there will be a parade. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />2806 Highway 10 - Minor Auto Repair <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing to consider a request for Conditional <br />Use Permit, Minor Auto Repair, 2806 Highway 10 (Planning Case No. 365-93) at <br />•:13 p.m. <br />Paul Harrington, City Planner, reviewed Staff Report No. 93-562C regarding <br />the request for Conditional Use Permit, Minor Auto Repair, for 2806 Highway <br />10. Harrington stated that the Planning Commission had reviewed the <br />conditional use permit request and recommended Council's approval. <br />Harrington stated that all applicable zoning considerations had been <br />adequately addressed by the applicant. <br />Mayor Linke asked if the conditions listed on Council resolution were the <br />same as those listed on the Planning Commission resolution. <br />Paul Harrington, City Planner, read Resolution No. 4394 Approving the <br />Conditional Use Permit Request by Ron Schmidt, 2806 Highway 10, Planning <br />Case No. 365-93 for clarification of the conditions. <br />Mayor Linke questioned the hours of operation of the business. Mayor Linke <br />stated he would recommend extending the hours of work in the evening by one <br />hour. <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated concern with the parking of cars along <br />Highway 10. <br />Paul Harrington explained that Mr. Schmidt, property owner, has adequate <br />boulevard parking and would not be parking cars along Highway 10. <br />I,. Schmidt stated that he had no problem with the hours of operation as, <br />generally, nothing is started after 9:00 p.m. <br />
