Arrangements for demonstrations are being made for early <br /> Spring. <br /> * Advertisements for summer seasonal parks maintenance workers <br /> will be sent for next week's publication. Interviews will <br /> be held as soon as possible. <br /> RECREATION NEWS: <br /> * Staff has been finalizing the Annual Report. <br /> * Preparation of the Spring Newsletter, Recreation Brochure <br /> is in progress. <br /> * Summer Seasonal Recreation staff is being advertised and <br /> interviews will be held as soon as possible. <br /> * The Adult Softball registration packets of information has <br /> been prepared this week and distributed to potential <br /> registrants. <br /> * Staff has attended a number of meetings this week including <br /> a meeting with area program supervisors planning joint <br /> programs, meeting with an athletic photography service, <br /> meeting with the Lion' s Club, Star of the North steering <br /> committee meeting, park attendant meeting and other regular <br /> weekly staff meetings. <br /> * It is easy to know that Spring is just around the corner <br /> because of the increasing activity level of the office - - <br /> more calls, inquiries about upcoming Spring and Summer <br /> activities, and planning. <br /> * A trip to the Ice Capades left for a day of fun at the <br /> Target Center, Friday, February 5. <br /> FORESTRY: <br /> * Rick is busy working on 1993 bids for contractual tree <br /> services. The additional three cities which are part of the <br /> joint powers agreement complicates the process a little <br /> more, but the prices should even be better with a joint bid <br /> process. Council will be requested to approve the bid <br /> awards once they have been determined. <br /> CABLE TV <br /> * Jerry has been doing a lot of work at the Irondale Studios <br /> for the taping of the February "A View From the Mound" and <br /> making copies of the RSCC meeting. At least one request has <br /> been made for the purchase of a copy of the tape. Tapes <br /> were also made for the other cities. <br /> IL <br />
