Agenda Section: 8.D <br /> Report Number. <br /> Report Date: 1-7-93 <br /> Council Action: <br /> ❑ Special Order of Business <br /> ❑ Public Hearings <br /> • Consent Agenda <br /> ❑ Council Business <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4337 - <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GOLDEN GLOVES TO CONDUCT A BOXING MATCH <br /> AT THE BEL-RAE BALLROOM ON JANUARY 19, 1993 <br /> WHEREAS, Golden Gloves has requested consent of the <br /> City Council to conduct boxing matches on January 19, 1993 at the <br /> Bel-Rae Ballroom, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council has approved similar boxing <br /> matches which were conducted on January 31, 1989, January 22, <br /> 1991 and January 21, 1992; and <br /> WHEREAS, said boxing matches were conducted without <br /> significant problems. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> the City of Mounds View that Golden Gloves is hereby authorized <br /> to conduct boxing matches at the Bel-Rae Ballroom, 5934 Edgewood <br /> Drive, on January 19, 1993 upon the following conditions: <br /> 1. A certified copy of the State License for said <br /> matches to be filed with the City Administrator. <br /> 2 . Two uniformed, sworn police officers, approved by <br /> the Mounds View Police Chief shall be in attendance <br /> at each event with said officers being reimbursed by <br /> the promoter. <br /> 3 . All beer, set-ups and other refreshments shall be <br /> dispensed in paper cups. <br /> 4 . The premises shall be closed by 12: 00 midnight. <br /> 5. The promoter shall provide the City with a certificate <br /> of insurance from the promoter's liability insurance <br /> carrier providing for coverages of $1 million for <br /> bodily injury and $100, 000 for property damage. <br />
