DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET NARRATIVE <br />FUND: General <br />DEPARTMENT: Legal <br />DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVE <br />The Legal Department provides all general legal assistance and prosecution to the <br />City. <br />DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES <br />The City Attorney provides general legal assistance to the City and the City <br />Prosecutor prosecutes all misdemeanor offenses. <br />DEPARTMENT GOALS <br />The goal of the City Attorney and City Prosecutor is to provide the best legal advice <br />and service to the City. <br />DEPARTMENT EXPENDITURE COMMENTS <br />The expenditures for the general legal and prosecution have been reduced for 1994. <br />The reduction is a result of a more prudent use of the City Attorney's time and an <br />anticipated decline in City prosecutions. <br />
