5. Projects yet to complete: <br />- City Hall youth ballfield layout <br />- Final touches of Greenfield culvert project <br />- Edgewood baseball field improvements <br />- Removal of posts at Random Park parking lot <br />RECREATION: <br />1. Summer programs were offered and completed. <br />2. Fall programs were planned and advertised, registrations <br />received and programs begun during the month of September. <br />3. City Newsletters were prepared. <br />4. Continued staff liaison attendance at RSCC meetings. <br />5. Parks and Recreation Commission met jointly with Spring Lake <br />Park Commission to discuss operations at Lakeside Park <br />6. Continued work on the Golf Course. <br />FORESTRY: <br />1. Planting of trees budgeted - a few yet to be planted with <br />grant monies yet to be received ie. island trees at <br />Greenfield Park. <br />2. Planting of pine trees at Silver View Park in collaboration <br />with residents who will benefit from the trees. <br />3. Planting of large shade trees at Lambert Park. <br />4. Forestry crew continued to trim all parks and landscape trim <br />buildings and other areas as requested. <br />5. Forestry crew also trimmed boulevards and trees in street <br />lines as requested and as time allowed. <br />6. Rick submitted subsequent phases of grant applications. <br />CABLE TV: <br />1. Continued monthly meetings with the Cable Committee to plan <br />monthly programs. <br />2. Continued "A View From the Mound" - a monthly program which <br />has several issues, interesting topics and other information <br />for the public. <br />3. Continued monthly talks with the Mayor. <br />
