This Ordinance is presented
again for your consideration for either adoption or denial. . Adoption of
this Ordinance would repeal the sunset clause of the Street Light Utility
and therefore continue its operation. Denial of this Ordinance would allow
the Street Light Utility to terminate at the end of this year.
When the Street Light Utility was created, it was given a sunset date.
This sunset date was set to allow the City Council an opportunity to
reevaluate the effectiveness of the Utility, reexamine its rate structure
and determine if the Utility would be continued or discontinued.
If this Utility were to be continued, the rate structure could be changed
via resolution, effective January 1, 1994.
'ciii OttljUkifik
Tim__Cr_uikshank4 Asst. to City Admin,
FCQMMENATION:,
e e are two options before the Council.
