REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 3 <br /> 1106 <br /> STAFF REPORT Report Number: 93-604WS <br /> ��W' September 7, 1993 Report Date: 9-2-93 <br /> AGENDA,SESSION DATE P <br /> DISPOSITION <br /> Item Description: Discussion of Request for Conditional Use Permit, Church Upon the Rock, <br /> 7901 Red Oak Drive <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report f' <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> ,SUMMARY; <br /> Church Upon the Rock, 7901 Red Oak Drive, has made application for a <br /> Conditional Use Permit to allow for the continued use of a temporary <br /> accessory structure on residentially zoned property. The applicant has <br /> previously been granted a Conditional Use Permit for the accessory <br /> structure by the City Council. Passed in 1988, City Council Resolution No. <br /> 2320 contained a "sunset" clause which effectively revokes the permit after <br /> a five year period. The attached letter more fully explains the applicants <br /> request. <br /> For review: <br /> In 1988, the Planning Commission and the City Council gave <br /> approval for the location of a temporary accessory building at 7901 Red Oak <br /> Drive (Resolution No. 2320) . At the time of approval, both the Commission <br /> and the Council had concerns about the available off-street parking area <br /> on the site, the lack of an improved surface for those existing parking <br /> facilities and, the proposed use for the accessory building. <br /> In order to somewhat address those concerns, the approval for the <br /> temporary structure included the aforementioned sunset clause. The specific <br /> language of the Resolution stipu-late-crthat—the---tempuiarystructure be <br /> removed after a five year period and replaced__with a permanent building. _ <br /> Additionally, at the end of this five year period, the site (i.e. parking <br /> facilities and surface) were required to be upgraded to meet current City <br /> codes.
