I. <br /> DEPARTMENT ACTIVIHES <br /> The Fire Department provides for the City's share of the funding for the Blaine- <br /> Spring Lake Park-Mounds View Fire Department, a tri-city operated volunteer <br /> department funded by a joint powers agreement between the three cities. Teh <br /> Department provides fire protection to three cities and the Anoka County-Blaine <br /> Airport through a Contract for Fire Protection Services and an annual budget. <br /> DEPARTMENT GOALS <br /> The goal of the Fire Department is to provide the best level of fire protection <br /> possible for the residents of Mounds View. <br /> DEPARTMENT EXPENDITURE COMMENTS <br /> The 1994 Budget for the Fire Department is a slight increase over the 1993 Budget <br /> due to-an-increase-in-the-number of-calls which-factor-into the-expenditure-formula. <br /> The -Capitat n„ttav for the_next_sev_eral years will be paid from the <br /> proceeds of General Obligation Bond Issue approved by voters in 1990. <br />
