<br />3.4.16 Preparing a set of reproducible record drawings show-
<br />ing significant changes in the Work made during eortsmuction

<br />by the Contractor to the Architect.
<br />3.4.17 Providing assistance in the utilization of equipment or
<br />systems such as resting. adjusting and balancing, preparation of
<br />operation and mamtenance manuals, training personnel for
<br />operation and maintenance, and consultation during operation.
<br />3.4.18 Providing services after issuance to the Owner of the
<br />final Caniftcate for Payment. or in the absence of a fiat Corr
<br />tificam for Payment, until final payment is made
<br />to the Omtracter.
<br />3.4.19 Providing services of Consultants for other than uchi.
<br />tectural, structural, mechanical and elecuhcal engineering pur-
<br />tions of the Project provided as a part of Basic Servim.
<br />3.4.20 PNhvidmg any other services not otherwise included in
<br />this Agrmment or not customnily furmshcd In accordance
<br />with generally acccpmd architectural practice.
<br />ARTICLE 4
<br />OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
<br />4.1 The Owner shall pmvide full Information regarding
<br />requirements for the Prides, Including a program which shall
<br />set fonh the Owner's objectives. schedule, constraints and cri.
<br />teru, Including space aqulremems and relationships, flexi.
<br />bility, expandablWy, special equipment, systems and site
<br />requirements.
<br />4.2 The Owner shaU establish and UrAbIC an overall budget for
<br />dic Project, Induthng the Construction Ora. the Owner's other
<br />costs and rasonable comingeKio related to 20 of these casts.
<br />4.3 If requested by the Architect, the Owner shall famish evi•
<br />dealie that Imancial arrangements have been tack 10 fulfill the
<br />Owners obligatlo s under this Agreement.
<br />4.4 The Owner dug designate a Representative 2111110 rid to
<br />act on the Owner's behalf with respect to the Project. The
<br />Owner or such authorized representative shall render decisions
<br />in a timely manner pertaining to documents submitted by the
<br />Architect In order to avoid Unnmonable delay in the ordesiy
<br />and sequential progress of the Architect's wxvkcs.
<br />4.5 The Owner shall furnish surveys describing physical
<br />characteristics, legal limitations and utility locations for the site
<br />of the Project, and a written legal description of the site. The
<br />surveys and k10 informnation shag include, as appiiabk,
<br />grades and lines of stress, alleys, pavements and adlolnog
<br />property and structures; adjacent drainage; righa•ofway,
<br />restrictions, casemems, a a achments, inning, dad restric-
<br />tions, boundaries and contours of the site; locations, dimem
<br />skins and necessary data pertaining to existing buildings, other
<br />Improvemens and it=; and information concerning available
<br />utility services and fines, both public and private, above and
<br />below grade, including inverts and depths. Ali the Information
<br />on the survey shall be referenced to a project benchmark.
<br />4.6 The Owner shag famish the services of gamcchnlcal engl-
<br />racers when such services are requested by the Architect. Such
<br />services may include but arc not limited to tat borings, test
<br />pits, dercrminations of soil baring values, percolation tests,
<br />evaluations of haardous maierlab, ground corrosion and Festw
<br />tivity tests, including necessary operations for anticipating sub -
<br />.soil conditions, with reports; and appnipttate professional
<br />recommendations.
<br />4.6.1 Ttic Owner shall furnish the services of other consul-
<br />tants; when such services are reasonably required by the acopx
<br />of the Project and arc requested by the Architect.
<br />4.7 The owner shall furnish structural, mechanical, chemical,
<br />air and water pollution tests, tests for hazardous materials, and
<br />other laboratory and environmental tests, inspections and
<br />rdwns required by law or the Contras Documents.
<br />4.8 The Owner shall furnish all legal. xmhmung and lnsurana
<br />counseling services as nay be necessary at any time for the
<br />Project, including auditing services the Owner may require to
<br />verify the Contnsor's Applications for Payment or m ascenaln
<br />how or for what purposes the Contractor her used the money
<br />paid by or on behalf of the Owner.
<br />4.9 The services, Information, surveys and repons required by
<br />Paragraphs 4.5 through 4.8 shall be furnished at the Owner's
<br />expense, and the Architect shill he entitled to rely upon the
<br />acmraey and completeness thereof.
<br />4.10 Prompt written notice shag be given by the Owner to the
<br />Architect If the Owner becomes mvate of any fault or defect in
<br />the Proles or nonconformance with the Contract Documents.
<br />4.11 The proposed language of anificata or cerlllcallom
<br />requested of the Architect or Architect's MOSUIuns shall be
<br />submitted In the Architect for review and approval at kast 14
<br />days prior in execution. The Owner slug not request crnifta-
<br />oons; that would require knowledge or services beyond the
<br />scope of this Agreement.
