Item No: 7I <br />Meeting Date: November 24, 2008 <br />Type of Business: CB <br />Administrator Review: _____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To:Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From:Joe Rhein, Consulting Engineer <br />Item Title/Subject:Resolution 7363 Approving The Agency Delegated <br />Contract Process Agreement With The Minnesota <br />Department Of Transportation <br />Background: <br />The City has successfully obtained Federal funding for upcoming projects, including the <br />construction of County Road 10 Trailway Segments 1-5 and the improvements to the <br />intersection of County Road 10 and County Road H. <br />The Federal funds will be administered through the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation (MnDOT). <br />In order for MnDOT to administer the funds on behalf of the City, an agreement must be in <br />place between the two parties to that effect. <br />Discussion: <br />The City of Mounds View has recently been successful in securing Federal funds for two <br />upcoming improvement projects in the City. The two projects are described briefly as: <br />County Road 10 & County Road H Intersection Improvements <br />Amount of Federal funds:$630,000 <br />Year funds programmed:2012 <br />Project Includes:Traffic signal replacement <br />Intersection leg reconstruction <br />Other safety improvements <br />County Road 10 Trailway Project:Segments 1 – 5 <br />Amount of Federal funds:$525,000 <br />Year funds programmed:2009 <br />Project Includes:Trailway construction, <br />Lighting, landscaping, and <br />interpretive and education signage
