RESOLUTION 7362 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />COUNTY ROAD 10 TRAILWAY PROJECT: SEGMENTS 1-5 <br />WHEREAS, on November 13, 2007 the City Council received the <br />Feasibility Report and held a Public Improvement Hearing for the County Road 10 <br />Trailway Project: Segments 1-5; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7279 adopted by the City Council on <br />June 9, 2008 the Feasibility Report for the County Road 10 Trailway Project: Segments <br />1-5 was approved, the project was ordered under a reduced scope, and preparation of <br />the plans and specifications was authorized; and <br />WHEREAS,plans and specifications for the County Road 10 Trailway <br />Project: Segments 1-5 have been prepared; and <br />WHEREAS,the estimated construction cost is $804,221 based on the <br />plans and specifications; and <br />WHEREAS, as per state statute, with an estimated contract amount in <br />excess of $100,000, publication must be made at least three weeks before the last day <br />to submit bids; and <br />WHEREAS,it is the intention of the City to utilize federal aid funds for a <br />portion of the financing for the project; and <br />WHEREAS,pursuant to Resolution 7363 adopted by the City Council on <br />November 24, 2008, Agreement No. 90473 has been approved with the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation for the administration of federal aid funds for eligible <br />transportation projects; and <br />WHEREAS,approval of the plans and specifications must also be <br />received from the Minnesota Department of Transportation prior to the receipt of bids for <br />the project; and <br />WHEREAS,as part of their approval process the Minnesota Department <br />of Transportation will schedule the date of the opening of bids for the project.
