<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 7378 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF A POOL TABLE <br />AND FOOSBALL TABLE FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, American Amusement Arcades, the owner of the foosball table, pool <br />tables and air hockey table at the Mounds View Community Center, notified the City of their <br />intent to remove the machines along with the change dispensing machine; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner indicates that the revenues collected from these machines <br />are not enough to justify keeping the machines at the Community Center; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner provided the City with an option to buy any or all of the <br />machines by written correspondence in November of 2008; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the YMCA Advisory Committee reviewed the options and assessed the <br />value of the machines to the overall function of the facility, finding that it would be <br />beneficial to retain one pool table and the foosball table; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council considered the relevant options at meetings on <br />November 24 and December 1, 2008, and directed staff to prepare a resolution to <br />formalize the acquisition consistent with the Committee’s recommendation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes the purchase of one pool table and the foosball table from American <br />Amusement Arcades in the amount of $1,200, from the Community Center Fund, account <br />no. 252-4350-1230. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 8th day of December, 2008. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, Clerk - Administrator <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
