The exercise, referred to as the “Council Retreat” allows for free flowing <br />Council and management staff discussions in an informal environment for the purposes of goal <br />setting and providing staff direction for the year. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />From 2009 to 2013, the Council/Staff Retreats were self-facilitated, led by the Mayor and City <br />Administrator. In 2014, the City Council opted to being in a facilitator (Springsted). In 2015, the City <br />Council opted to have a self facilitated Retreat, which resulted in the attached goals being adopted. <br />Staff would like direction on whether the City Council wants the Retreat to be self-facilitated or hire <br />an outside facilitator. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Unless the City Council feels a facilitator would be preferred, staff would recommend reviewing the <br />attached draft agenda for the 2016 Council/Staff Retreat scheduled for Monday, February 29, 2016, <br />located at the Mounds View Community Center. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br />_______________________ <br />Desaree Crane <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
