Or close off Bronson <br />by the MVCC, have people bring chairs and show a movie. <br />"High Touch" young Entrepreneurs: we need to make our places feel special or like home. Never say <br />never to their ideas. That's how small businesses pop up. (Brew pub, ice cream or donut shop, unique <br />stores). <br />Be better storytellers! What are our people doing? Tell their stories. <br />Who Owns It Matters <br /> Community Foundation Grants - can we set this up <br /> Young Professionals efforts <br /> Press coverage <br /> City Permits - we have them, but don't let them hinder efforts <br />Can we find a way to fund/encourage things like these ideas. <br /> <br />Love Hurts - negative ideas <br /> visiual clutter (billboards <br /> powerlines <br /> empty buildings <br /> holes in the fabric of your community - fix what is most broken <br />Beware the CAVE people (Citizens Against Virtually Everything) IGNORE THEM!!! <br /> <br />Council Meetings - try some GOOD news. Have a good news only meeting during public input once a <br />month. <br />Make your Plan Visible - Create an artifact. A graphic recording of the event. Put up inside city hall or <br />MVCC. Let the pictures tell the story. <br />Marry the City - make it a "wedding" party. have the residents pledge to keep streets clean, walk more, <br />etc. Makes them in a relationship together. <br />Art Everywhere. sculptures and gardens, statues around town that people can take pictures with.special <br />signs around town, sidewalks, storm drains, even the blades on the snowplows. <br />Talent Attraction and Retention - make it an emotional appeal. <br />Amenity RIch VS. Meaning RIch
