The proposed <br />distribution is broken down as follows: <br /> <br /> Festival in the Park $5,260.00 <br /> Park improvement projects $4,265.25 <br /> YMCA’s Y-Partners program $4,265.25 <br /> Economic Development $2,758.00 <br /> Total first half donation: $16,548.50 <br /> <br />Pastor Holst agreed that the committee could meet in June or July to review the second <br />half donation. Bethlehem envisioned that committee would consist of an equal number <br />(three to five) representatives from the City and the church. The City Council should <br />appoint its representatives to the committee, which would be called the “Mounds View <br />Service Project Fund” committee. Potential members to the committee could include <br />the Clerk-Administrator, a Council member, a park and rec commissioner, YMCA staff <br />such as Program Director Weldon, the Community Development Director <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Attached for your consideration is Resolution 7228, a resolution which (1) accepts the <br />donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church in the amount of $16,548.50, (2) authorizes <br />the distribution of the donation according to the suggestions stated in the letter dated <br />January 25, 2008, (3) authorizes the amendment of the 2008 budget accordingly, and <br />(4) appoints three to five representatives to serve on the “Mounds View Service Project <br />Fund Committee.
