<br />• Coordinates the City’s recycling program by scheduling “clean-up” events for <br />residents, answering recycling questions, submitting reports to Ramsey County, <br />applying for funding reimbursements and grant dollars to support the program, <br />and monitoring expenditures to stay within approved budget. <br />• Administrates the Recycling Program. Schedules bi-annual cleanup days for city <br />residents, answers recycling questions, submits annual reports to Ramsey <br />County, responsible applying for quarterly reimbursement from Ramsey County, <br />responsible for the recycling budget, and applies for yearly grant monies to <br />support the recycling program. <br />• Assists with utility billing and accounts payable processes and procedures as <br />needed and as assigned. <br />• Prepares and distributes City Council and Economic Development Authority <br />packets. <br />• Coordinates Processes dog licenses activities including the ordering and <br />issuance of issuing dog tags, data entry and receipt of payments. <br />• Maintains City scrapbook of articles from official newspapers. <br />• Assists with election activities and other administrative and municipal functions <br />as directed. <br /> <br /> <br />PERIPHERAL <br /> <br />• Supports Administration Department in distribution and publication of weekly <br />agenda packet materials, City Newsletter and other duties as requested. <br />• Handles minor maintenance/service calls for office equipment including, but not <br />limited to, postage machine, copier, and fax and microfilm machine. <br />• Other duties as assigned. <br /> <br /> <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Education and Experience: <br />(A) Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in <br />general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping. <br /> <br />(B) Two (2) years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent <br />combination of related education and experience. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />(A) Proficient with computers and modern office practices and procedures. This <br />includes proficiency in Microsoft Applications. (B) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. <br /> (C) Ability to perform cashier duties accurately; ability to effectively meet and deal <br />with the public; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to <br />handle stressful situations. <br />
