<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8637 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE BUILDING ALTERATIONS AND BUILDING MAINTENANCE NEEDS <br />FOR COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has an agreement with the YMCA to operate the Community <br />Center, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will adopt a budget and a 5 year capital improvement <br />plan for the Community Center, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has met with the YMCA Staff members regarding <br />building alterations for the Community Center and the YMCA advisory committee, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff had been working for several months to acquire <br />quotes for these building alterations and maintenance items. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />3. Approves Expand the conference rooms (A108 and A110) combining these into <br />one large conference/ training room with audio visual components and smaller <br />tables. The YMCA Staff calculated a 5 year pay back with the renting the room at <br />a rate of $30 for residents and $60 for nonresidents. At a cost of $9,407.00 <br /> <br />4. Purchasing New Kitchen Equipment and replacing the ceiling tiles. Kitchen <br />equipment would include new range, dishwasher, proffer cabinet, work table, and <br />wire shelving for cooler. Purchased from Rapids Restaurant Equipment of St. Paul <br />Mn. New Ceiling tiles installed by Acoustical Concepts, Inc. of Shakopee, MN <br />Estimated cost $19,888.76 <br /> <br />5. Repair and replace common area floor tiles, work to be performed by RAK <br />Construction, Inc. of East Bethel MN. Estimated cost $3,679.41 <br /> <br />6. Replace ceiling tiles in Cedar Conference Room, work to be performed by <br />Acoustical Concepts, Inc. of Shakopee, MN. Estimated cost $2,495. <br /> <br />7. Install electronic door lock on main office door, work to be performed by Pro-Tec <br />Design of Minneapolis MN. Estimated cost $1,796.39. <br /> <br />8. Install room name signs throughout the building signs to be purchased from MN <br />State Industries of Moose Lake MN. Room name signs to be installed by Public <br />Works Staff. Estimated cost $2,500.00. <br />
