<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8726 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF <br />NEW BRIGHTON FOR RENTAL DWELLING INSPECTION SERVICES IN 2017 <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has a current unfulfilled need for rental <br />dwelling inspection services; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton has the staff and expertise to provide the <br />needed rental dwelling inspection services to the City of Mounds View; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cities of Mounds View and New Brighton have agreed upon certain <br />terms associated with the requested rental dwelling inspection services, articulated in the <br />attached Joint Powers Agreement; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Attorney has reviewed the attached Joint Powers Agreement <br />and approved said agreement as to form. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby approve the attached Joint Powers Agreement with the City of New <br />Brighton, a one year agreement for Rental Housing Inspection Services, at a cost of 35% <br />of the City’s rental dwelling license revenue, or $9,000, whichever is greater. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE FURTHER BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mounds <br />View City Council does hereby authorize the execution of said Agreement by the Mayor <br />and City Administrator. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of March, 2017. <br /> <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Carol A.
