<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8773 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR HIRING A <br />MAINTENANCE WORKER IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jeffrey Wienke submitted his retirement after twenty-eight (28) years of <br />service to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department will have a need to fill this full-time, non-exempt <br />position under the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff would like to start the process of advertising for the Public Works <br />Maintenance position; and <br />WHEREAS, the current Public Works Collective Bargaining Agreement requires that all <br />permanent job vacancies are posted internally for five (5) working days so current members of the <br />bargaining unit can be considered for the vacancy before it gets advertised to the general public; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, only after the vacancy is posted for five (5) working days and no responses <br />or qualified candidates are received will the vacancy be posted; and <br />WHEREAS, the job description was reviewed by Staff and no revisions are required. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes Staff to advertise <br />for the upcoming vacancy for the Public Works Maintenance Worker. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 12th day of June, 2017. <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Carol A.
