<br />Item No: 1 <br />Meeting Date: October 6, 2014 <br />Type of Business: WS <br />City Administrator Review: ______ <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Assistant City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Joint Meeting with the Festival in the Park Committee <br /> <br /> <br />The Festival in the Park of Mounds View Committee is requesting a meeting with the City <br />Council to discuss the Festival in the Park Committee’s current financial condition. <br />Attached is the Committee’s current budget as of September 30, 2014. It appears the <br />Festival budget will be at a deficit of approximately $3,000, if not more. The Car Show is <br />already looking at about a $1,000 deficit for 2015. The Committee will be respectfully <br />requesting some financial support from the City. The Committee does have a fundraising <br />subcommittee, and did receive some money and in-kind donations from area businesses. <br />However, the donations were not enough to sustain the Festival budget. <br /> <br />The President (Theresa Cermak) and the Treasurer (Diane Wuori) will be present at this <br />meeting to make their presentation to the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Desaree Crane <br /> <br /> <br />
